Opening our arms to visitors for more than four decades, we’ve uncovered the connection between travel and a love for community as a launching pad for hopes and dreams under the Caribbean sun. The Sandals Foundation is the formal framework embodying this mindset – founded as the philanthropic, not-for-profit extension of Sandals Resorts in the community. Quite literally, our love of home put into action.

Empowerment is our foundational goal and why improving access to education is fundamental to everything we believe and do. Today, we breathe life into a new initiative, the Power of 15. Harnessing the strength of the Caribbean sun to power local schools, Sandals will install solar panels on school buildings across the region, ensuring a dedicated, environmentally-friendly power supply that keeps equipment running, the WiFi strong, and allows learning to continue uninterrupted. Join us.

Because Sandals Resorts supports all costs associated with its administration and management, 100% of every dollar donated goes towards the funding of initiatives in education, community and the environment.

Our invitation to “Pack for a Purpose^®” has resulted in over 90,000 pounds of supplies donated to Caribbean schools. We’ve established marine sanctuaries and coral restoration sites in Jamaica and Saint Lucia, helping precious underwater ecosystems thrive. Youth sports programs empower kids to get moving across the islands, from creatively turning plastic waste into soccer goals for school children in Curaçao to a recreational skate park in Jamaica. Partnering with GreatShape!, we’ve provided free healthcare to thousands of locals. Interactive programs like Reading Road Trips have immersed guests into the community for in-school literary sessions with young scholars.

Over 25,000 trees have been planted across the Caribbean; environmental and conservation curricula has been developed for local primary schools; and locals have been given the resources to bask in the splendor of the surrounding seas with swim lessons – all with an underlying aim of instilling a love and care for the planet and each other.
