Kew The Music is a beloved annual summer festival held in the stunning grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. With unforgettable live music and a laid-back picnic vibe, it’s a highlight on London’s summer calendar.

Bring your own blanket and picnics (yes, even Pimm’s!) and enjoy an evening of music and delicious food and drink from a variety of on-site vendors, surrounded by 300 acres of breathtaking scenery.

Tuesday, 8th July: Craig David presents TS5 – Celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Craig David brings his TS5 show to Kew, blending R&B, garage, and house music for an unforgettable party atmosphere.

Wednesday, 9th July: The Human League – Pioneers of 80s synth-pop, The Human League will perform their classic hits like "Don't You Want Me" and "Love Action (I Believe In Love)".

Thursday, 10th July: UB40 featuring Ali Campbell – The legendary reggae band, fronted by Ali Campbell, will deliver their timeless hits including "Red Red Wine" and "Kingston Town".

Friday, 11th July: DJ Spoony presents Garage Classical – A unique fusion of UK garage and classical music, featuring special guests Daniel Bedingfield, So Solid Crew, Heartless Crew, and more.

Saturday, 12th July: Alison Moyet – Celebrating her 40th year as a solo artist, Alison Moyet will perform reimagined versions of her classics alongside new material.

Sunday, 13th July: Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes – Experience flamenco, salsa, and pop from the Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes.


How to Get to Kew the Music

By Train:

• The nearest underground station is Kew Gardens Station in Zone 3, served by the District Line.
• Kew Gardens Station is 500 metres from the Victoria Gate entrance to the Gardens. Exit the station past the parade of shops, cross Sandycombe Road at the zebra crossing and walk down Lichfield Road (opposite) to reach Victoria Gate, as found on Kew the Music’s official website.
• Kew Bridge Station is served by South Western Railway trains from London Waterloo, stopping at Vauxhall and Clapham Junction along the way. It’s just an 800-metre walk to the Elizabeth Gate entrance via Kew Bridge.
• The London Overground runs from Stratford to Kew Gardens Station, which is just a short walk from the venue.
• Richmond Station is another convenient option, served by National Rail, the District Line, and the London Overground. The station features a lift to street level and step-free access to the pavement, making it ideal for those requiring accessibility support.

By Car:

• Limited parking is available in the area, and roads can get busy - public transport is strongly recommended.
• There are also no parking facilities inside Kew Gardens for this event.

By Bus:

• Route 65 runs between Ealing Broadway and Kingston, passing through Richmond town centre, and stops close to Victoria Gate.
• Routes 237 and 267 stop at Kew Bridge Station, from where you can either walk across Kew Bridge to the Elizabeth Gate entrance or hop on the 65 or 391 bus services for a shorter journey.

By Bike:

• Bike racks are available outside the gates.

By River:

• During the summer, Thames River Boats run a scenic service from Westminster Pier to Kew Pier. From there, it’s around a 500-metre walk to the Elizabeth Gate entrance of Kew Gardens.


What Can I Bring to Kew the Music?

• Picnics are allowed (including alcohol, but no glass).
• You can bring low-backed chairs, rugs, and cushions for comfort.
