What is a destination wedding?
A destination wedding is a celebration that takes place away from your hometown. Often, a destination wedding will be celebrated at a luxury resort in an exotic location, like a beach wedding in the Caribbean.

Will my marriage be legally binding in my home country?
Yes, your marriage will be legally binding in your home country and home state. Your wedding planner will help you organize and complete all required documents. For name change procedures, inquire with your local government. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Sandals Wedding Team at 08000 22 33 31.
Do you organize elopements?

How much will my wedding cost?
Beyond accommodations and decor, your wedding costs will be determined by the events and services hosted in our resort wedding venues, as well as the number of guests included in the celebrations. Our wedding packages are curated experiences that cater to various wedding styles and wedding sizes. How soon after I book a Sandals wedding can I start planning?
After you have confirmed your wedding date, our Wedding Team will schedule an appointment with your Wedding Planner within 2-4 weeks, at a convenient time for you and your fiancé.
How do we pay the Marriage License & Administrative Fee?
The Marriage License and Administrative Fee will be collected by the Wedding Concierge who will send you an invoice. These fees vary by island: Jamaica: $250USD, Antigua: $503USD, Saint Lucia: $395USD, Bahamas: $555USD, Grenada: $535USD, Barbados: $444USD, Curaçao: $749USD for legal weddings, $400USD for symbolic weddings (only available in Curaçao).
What are your payment and cancellation policies?
A $250 non-refundable deposit will be due at the time of booking with the total balance due 60 days prior to your arrival. Your final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival and any items purchased within 60 days of arrival are subject to availability. If you wish to cancel your travel plans and be eligible for a full refund, you must confirm your cancellations at least forty-five (45) days prior to arrival. Select items are non-refundable, including but not limited to, certain deposits, administrative fees, and custom items from external event suppliers. Floral Purchases are also non-refundable and non-transferable if canceled within 45 days of arrival. Cancellations made 44-31 days prior to arrival will receive 50% refund, except for non-refundable items listed above. Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival are non-refundable.
Are medical or blood tests required to
No, the islands of Jamaica, Antigua, Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, and Curaçao do not require a medical or blood test to be performed.
What is the best way to travel with a wedding dress and suit?
Any arrangement for transportation of a wedding dress and suit/tuxedo should be discussed directly with your airline carrier. Most couples typically travel with their wedding attire as a carry-on item in a garment bag. If there’s space, most airlines offer the option to hang the wedding dress or wedding suit in the plane's closet.
Who will assist me with my wedding once I arrive at the resort?
The resort wedding team will greet you upon arrival and will be instrumental in executing all of the details that have been arranged by your wedding planner to make your wedding vision a reality.
What hair and makeup options do I have?
The award-winning Red Lane® Spa will be happy to get you ready for your big day! From facials and spa treatments to professional hair and makeup sessions, as well as manicures and pedicures—Sandals has you covered. See the full list of spa and salon options at each resort.
Is there Tuxedo rental available on the island?
Unfortunately, we do not offer tuxedo rentals at the resort; however, some Sandals Resorts can share contact information for local formalwear providers (varies by island). When it comes to attire selections, keep in mind the warmer Caribbean climates. For this reason, we recommend lightweight, breathable alternatives to keep the groom, groomsmen, and guests comfortable!
What wedding venues does Sandals offer?
Sandals offers a wide variety of destination wedding venues that can accommodate indoor and outdoor events! Our most popular venues, which can be found at various resorts, include the Sandals Over-The-Water Serenity Chapel, Intimate Wedding Chapel, Over-The-Water Gazebo, Garden Gazebo, and beautiful white sand beaches. Sandals golf course and Sky Terrace venues are exclusive to specific resorts. Cocktail and dinner receptions can be hosted indoors (ballroom) or outdoors (garden or beach). What are the options for floral and decor items?
Sandals Resorts provides you with a catalog of floral and decor rental options, available on the island specific to your resort and destination wedding events. Explore our curated styles for added inspiration and to create your own destination wedding mood board.
Can I bring amy own wedding décor items and favors?
You can, but we recommend choosing from options already available on the island as there are customs laws that will require you to pay taxes and duties on any wedding decor items and favors you bring. There is also a chance they could be confiscated if they are deemed commercial items. If you do decide to carry items with you, please note that there is an applicable resort setup fee. Please speak with your Wedding Planner for full details.
What are the different types of ceremonies I can choose from for my wedding?
A non-denominational minister presides over our wedding ceremonies, but if you wish to inquire about having a non-religious ceremony or religious ceremony (an additional cost may apply), please consult with your Wedding Planner. Symbolic ceremonies are available only at Sandals Royal Curaçao.
Can I get married at a different resort than where I am staying?
It is required that you get married at the same resort where you are staying. The only exception is the Frank Warren Chapel at Sandals Montego Bay, which is available if you are a guest at Sandals Royal Caribbean.
Sandals Resorts are adults-only, can guests under 18 join my wedding?
What flavors are available for the wedding cake?
Sandals offers the following options of flavors for the wedding cake: vanilla, chocolate, Caribbean fruit, red velvet, carrot or brownie. There are also a variety of filling flavors available and vegan cake flavor options by request. View our catering menu for more details.
What catering options do I have?
Catered events with premium bars, passed hors d'oeuvres, and plated or buffet dinners with dedicated service can be arranged for an additional setup fee per guest. In addition, any guests staying at Sandals can dine and drink at up to 16 all-inclusive gourmet restaurants and bars per resort. Contact your Wedding Planning Team for a complete overview of catering options.
What entertainment options do you have for our wedding?
From a private welcome cocktail party and an intimate game night to DJ's, dance floors and string quartets—all of this and more can be arranged. Once the wedding celebrations conclude, continue the fun across the resort with lively beach parties, unique theme nights, and exciting live shows. Contact your Wedding Planner for a complete entertainment event schedule.
When will I receive my marriage certificate?
Your marriage certificate will be sent within a couple of weeks, depending on the island. Jamaica: 6‐8 weeks, Antigua: 4‐6 weeks, Bahamas: 8‐10 weeks, Saint Lucia: 6-8 weeks, Grenada: 2-4 weeks, Barbados: 2-4 weeks, Curaçao: 6-8 weeks, Turks & Caicos: 8-10 weeks.
Does Sandals offer any special offers or rates for wedding groups?
From the “Test Drive Your Wedding” experience to exclusive Honeymoon perks, visit the celebration offers page for current specials. When you book five or more rooms, you may qualify for our complimentary room credit. With 10 or more rooms, you may qualify for our room rate reduction promotion. Are there any special inclusions for weddings with a group of rooms?
You may qualify for our complimentary room credit and room rate reductions based upon the size of your group and your travel dates. Your Wedding Concierge or Group Specialist can assist you with any questions at 08000 22 33 31.
What group activities can I book for my guests?
Enjoy the beach, swim-up bars, a variety of land and water sports, complimentary snorkeling and scuba diving trips, Piano Bar sing-alongs, and nightly entertainment — at Sandals Resorts, it’s all included!
